CC23EN Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
Plastic surgery is the surgical speciality which mainly concerns the skin and non-visceral soft tissues with the aim of reconstruction in particular.
In this course, we will briefly review the history of this particular type of surgery. The layers that make up the anatomy of the skin are described, along with the pathologies that can result.
Three examples of the most frequent pathologies are then detailed: burns, bedsores and skin tumors.
Finally, the basic treatments for all skin lesions are briefly reviewed.
