The first edition Geneva temporal bone beginner course will be tailored to the needs of young ORL surgeons beginning with temporal bone surgery or a specific interest in advanced simulator training tools in this context.

The Geneva course will feature simulation-based training on virtual and 3D-printed temporal bone models on day 1 followed by a real cadaveric temporal bone surgery on day 2.The course will be 98% hands-on, with minimal theoretical content allowing the participant to focus on skills. The theoretical content needed will be offered online before the course, allowing you to prepare ahead and to enjoy practical training at max during the course.

Leaded by Prof. Pascal Senn, this training will also welcome Prof. Mads Sorensen and Dr. Steven Andersen (Copenhagen) who not only have developed the Visible Ear Simulator and a dedicated national course in Denmark, but also methods to objectively measure the learning effects and didactic outcome of simulation-based training. Three  experienced otologists Prof. Gunesh Rajan (Lucerne), Dr. Mercy George (Lausanne) and PD Dr Nils Guinand (Geneva) will be attending the course as faculty members.
