We are pleased to welcoming you for the first edition of the cours "Under the skin - Understanding Pain & Instability After Injury and Surgery" which will take place on 28 January 2027. This event is organized by Dr. Philippe Tscholl, Assistant Physician at the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) and Director of the Center for Musculoskeletal and Sports Medicine.

Course description

What if you could see the anatomy behind the symptome?

UNDER THE SKIN is an immersive experience designed to bridge the gap between anatomical knowledge and clinical practice. Through direct exploration of the injured structures in pain and instability, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how anatomical lesions and postoperative conditions translate into clinical findings—and how these findings guide examination, treatment and rehabilitation.

The course is divided into two focused half-day sessions: Knee and Foot & Ankle.
Working in intimate groups of no more than 5–6 participants around each specimen, the course offers a unique opportunity for close anatomical observation, hands-on dissection and surgical demonstration. From identifying the structures responsible for pain and instability, to correlating specific symptoms with clinical examination, surgical procedures and postoperative care, UNDER THE SKIN brings anatomy to life—and puts it directly into clinical context.
