The first Mixed Reality Guided Surgery Certification will happen from 26-27 February 2025 at the SWISS Foundation for Innovation and Training in Surgery (SFITS). This certifying course’s primary objective is to master the use of digital imaging and mixed reality technologies in surgery for neurosurgeons and any surgeons using microscopes in their practice.

The training will include frontal lectures explaining the basic principles, standard operating procedures and skills to be acquired followed by practical exercises. Participants will be working in groups of 2, one performing the task as principal surgeon and the second as assisting surgeon. Each group will be equipped with a full mixed reality set-up including a microscope and navigation unit.
